From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Defensive shortcomings and a failure to take chances once undermined Liverpool’s efforts that night so Jurgen Klopp will be hopeful that his side have learned their lessons come Saturday evening.
Jamie Vardy is expected to return for Leicester after missing his side’s victory over the Reds with a groin Strain. For the visitors, Dejan Lovren remains a doubt due back problems while Joel Matip and Emre Can are being assessed after sustaining knocks last week.

What time does it start?
The game kicks off at 5.30pm on Saturday 23 September at the King Power Stadium.
Where can I watch it?
The game will be broadcast on BT Sport 1 with coverage starting at 5pm.
It’s a big game for?
Jurgen Klopp. Another disappointing result would really set the alarm bells ringing at Anfield. Liverpool have not won in their last four games as question marks continue to persist over the state of the side’s backline. Klopp needs his men to put in a convincing and assertive performance against the Foxes on Saturday otherwise the Reds could find themselves a potential eight points off the pace.
Player to watch?
Jamie Vardy. The Englishman memorably scored that goal against Liverpool during a 2-0 victory that helped the Foxes along the way in their title-winning season last year. Vardy is set to return on Saturday after suffering a groin strain and will be hoping to hit the ground running. Against a defensively fragile side such as Liverpool, Vardy should be in his element.

31 mins: Mark Nobel and Moussa Sissoko show what this derby is all about when they clash after the Hammers captain smashes into the midfielder with a sliding tackle. Micheal Oliver talks to both players but doesn't brandish a card. As you were.
Goal!
West Ham 0-1 Tottenham
Harry Kane gets his first goal against West Ham away from home. Christian Eriksen finds Dele Alli who timed his run on the right flank to beat the offside trap. His cross finds Harry Kane who is in space and heads beyond Joe Hart to open the scoring.
Goal!
West Ham 0-1 Tottenham
Harry Kane gets his second in a matter of minutes. Jan Vertonghen finds Dele Alli with a through ball and his shot is saved by Joe Hart but the ball falls to Harry Kane and he makes no mistake as he slots the ball into a vacant net.
40 mins: Spurs are not finished here. After a slow start, Tottenham have now registered nine shots on goal and are looking very quick in attack. West Ham need half time to come soon to regroup and sort themselves out because in defence they look a shambles.
44 mins: Dele Alli plays a sublime outside of the foot pass for Ben Davis to chase but Pablo Zabaleta positions himself well to deal with the danger.
45 mins: Two minutes of added time at the London Stadium which has gone very quiet.
Half time
Harry Kane and Tottenham take apart West Ham late in the second half by taking advantage of some lackluster defending. Slaven Bilic has a big team talk coming up if West Ham are to get anything from this game and, perhaps, to tighten the security on his job.
Former Spurs midfielder Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports: "What Harry Kane does so well is make things look easy, it's almost like time stands still."
46 mins: Earlier this week Slaven Bilic admitted he was finding it hard to fit Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez into the same side. He now has 45 minutes to make that work is they are to get anything from this game.
