Anthony Knockaert thumped in a sensational winner as Brighton beat rivals Crystal Palace in a pulsating game on Saturday afternoon.

Glenn Murray opened the scoring in the first-half against his former team before Luka Milovojevic's scored from the spot to level matters after the break.

But the bragging rights were stolen late as Knockaert cut in from right and curled in an unstoppable left-foot strike into the top corner.

48 minutes

Jahanbakhsh has a go from distance and draws a save from Guaita. The Palace goalkeeper has largely been a spectator so far, but it's his side that trail.

Penalty for Palace! The hosts work the ball on the edge of the box and Townsend goes down under a challenge from Propper. A chance for Palace to get themselves back in the game.

GOAL! Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton (Milivojevic)

Milivojevic, so reliable from the spot, makes no mistake! Palace are level and have been rewarded for upping the tempo since the break.

Palace are very much on the front foot now. Duffy gives the ball away unde pressure and Batshuayi looks to capitalise. He lays the ball off for Townsend, whose shot is blocked. Brighton are looking less secure at the back now.

Wasteful from McArthur, who finds himself in space in front of the Brighton defence. He attempts to find Zaha, but his pass is overhit and runs out for a throw.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton

The game is just starting to become a little stretched. Brighton are finding space on the counter attack as Palace push men forward. Both sides have been lacking with the final ball though.

Murray is penalised for a foul on Milivojevic. Brighton have settled again after a nervy start to the second half, although Palace look the most likely to score next.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Brighton

It's all gone very scrappy. Both teams are consistently giving the ball away and there's very little creativity in the final third. Perhaps both are content with a point.

Murray is in the book for a late challenge on Milivojevic.

Zaha drives down the left and appears to lose out to Knockaert. The Frenchman hesitates, though, and gives the ball away to Townsend. His shot is wayward and flies wide of the far post.
