Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser struck equalisers just three minutes apart as Bournemouth salvaged a madcap 3-3 Premier League draw with Watford.

Troy Deeney's early brace had Watford 2-0 to the good, before Nathan Ake and Wilson had Bournemouth level - but for less than a minute.

Ken Sema fired in from Deeney's knock-down to nudge Watford into a 3-2 lead, but one the Hornets could only hold for two minutes.

The excellent Fraser's composed finish drew Bournemouth level at 3-3 before half-time, and despite a clutch of Cherries chances after the break, so the scores remained. Re-live the action below:

What time does it start?

Bournemouth vs Watford kicks off at 7:45pm (GMT)

Where can I watch it?

The match will not be shown live on TV or online in the UK. Highlights will be shown on Match of the Day on BBC One at 22:45.

Independent Sport will keep you up to date with all the goals as they go in via our live blog.

Player to watch

Abdoulaye Doucoure: The French midfielder will be delighted with how his season has gone heading into the New Year with three goals and four assists. He came on off the bench last weekend to grab his side a late point against Newcastle. His superb performances have caught the eye of big clubs including PSG and Liverpool. With the form he’s on, he’ll definitely prove a handful for Bournemouth.

Form guide

Bournemouth: LLWLLL

Watford: DLWWDL

Odds

Bournemouth to win: 13/8

Watford to win: 17/10

Draw: 49/20

Prediction

Bournemouth 2-1 Watford: Bournemouth have had a very poor month but they’ve played some tough opponents and are suffering from injuries. I fancy them to edge through this one though against a slowing Watford.

Worrying scenes at St James' Park. Half-and-half kits?

Still no goal action to report from elsewhere. Perhaps the Premier League teams are still running off their New Year revelry.

Newcastle 0-0 Manchester United, 9 minutes

Quick feet from Anthony Martial earn Manchester United a free kick wide on the left.

Marcus Rashford surprises by taking aim at Martin Dubravka's goal, and hits it nicely, but Dubravka is relatively comfortable as he dives to his right and beats the dipping effort away.

Newcastle 0-0 Manchester United, 10 minutes

Physical stuff from Jamaal Lascelles, moving across and leaning his shoulder into Marcus Rashford, sending the striker sprawling to the St James' Park turf.

A fair enough challenge according to referee Andre Marriner.

Harry Latham-Coyle2 January 2019 20:11

Newcastle 0-0 Manchester United, 11 minutes

Rashford and Lascelles meet again and once more it is the striker left on the deck. Again, Lascelles' challenge is perfectly legal and Rashford will run off a very minor knock without receiving treatment.

Newcastle 0-0 Manchester United, 12 minutes

An aerial ball is brought down delightfully by Christian Atsu, killing it and moving past Ander Herrera in one motion.

The Ghanaian tries to find the bottom corner with his left foot but David De Gea is wise to the threat, smothering Attu's tame effort.

Harry Latham-Coyle2 January 2019 20:13

Newcastle 0-0 Manchester United, 14 minutes

Phil Jones is struggling in possession early on, and loses the ball poorly, inadvertently stabbing the ball back to Salomon Rondon.

Rondon is unsure if he is onside, allowing Jones to get back and make an excellent sliding intervention.

At the other end, Anthony Martial ruffles the side netting cutting in onto his right foot.

GOAL! Bournemouth 0-1 Watford (Troy Deeney, 14 minutes)

Watford lead!

Abdoulaye Doucoure does well to find Ken Sema, and the Swede finds a cross for Troy Deeney to head into the bottom corner.

Harry Latham-Coyle2 January 2019 20:16

Newcastle 0-0 Manchester United, 18 minutes

Christian Atsu gets in again, this time latching on to a magnificent raking pass from Ayoze Perez.

Atsu again takes the shot on with his left boot, but scuffs it rather, taking it across goal rather than towards it, and there are no players in support to capitalise at the far post.

Bright start from the hosts, but they need to take one of these chances.

Harry Latham-Coyle2 January 2019 20:19

GOAL! Huddersfield 1-0 Burnley (Steve Mounie, 33 minutes)

Another headed goal, this time from Steve Mounie.

The credit for this goal will go to Isaac Mbenza, however. The Belgian winger produces a gorgeous cross to leave Mounie with the simplest of nods home past Tom Heaton.

Huge goal for the Terriers.
