From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Bournemouth take on Crystal Palace at the Vitality Stadium as two of the Premier League's mid-table staples bid to stake a claim for the top half of the league.

Palace come into the game three points behind the Cherries having ended a run of three straight defeats with a win over Huddersfield and a frustrating goalless draw against Newcastle.

Bournemouth's fast start to the season came to a strange halt at Burnley where they were thrashed 4-0, but Eddie Howe's side can climb up to seventh in the table with all three points tonight.

Palace's attackers are trying to press higher up but are being bypassed rather easily. Adam Smith is seeing plenty of the ball.

Oof - Wilfried Zaha miscontrols out of play to cheers and jeers from the home crowd. A quiet start for the Eagles' star man.

It feels like there will be more goals in this one, and Ryan Fraser looks to find one. Callum Wilson peels out to the right and is found, but Mamadou Sakho marshals him well out of play.

David Brooks and Ryan Fraser are both cutting inside at-will and looking dangerous doing so. A clever flick from the latter nearly works a chance but it is snuffed out once more.

Palace just struggling to get into the game.

In to the box and out again go Palace, though, and Luka Milivojevic lines up an effort. Firmly hit, but Nathan Ake gets his sizeable frame in the path of that one and a free-kick will allow Bournemouth to clear their lines.

Bournemouth pressing forces an errant clearance from Mamadou Sakho and the Cherries again have the ball in a forward area.

On top.

David Brooks is a little late on Patrick Van Aanholt and draws the first card of the evening.

Max Meyer stands over a free-kick about 35 yards out wide on Palace's left. He'll look to swing one in.

Too deep. Easily gathered by Asmir Begovic.

James McArthur in space on the left wing, cuts back on to his right foot, lifts the ball, curling to the back post...

No-one in a Palace shirt even in the same county. Goal-kick.
