This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Porro swings the free-kick into the box, but it's cleared at the front of the crowd by Mangala. His header isn't overly convincing, but Davies still has to get to the rebound first to stop Elanga from pouncing.

Son is getting involved a lot early on, and Spurs switch it out to him once more. He can't pick out a cross, but as he turns back, he's clumsily bundled over by Williams. The South Korean wasn't going anywhere, but now the visitors have a free-kick.

GOOD SAVE! What a start that would've been for Spurs! It's a good throughball by Romero first to pick out Sarr in a crowd, and he helps it out to Son on the left of the box. He's one-on-one with Turner, who makes himself big to smother the shot.

Son goes down holding his head and the referee has to stop play. The Spurs captain was crouched trying to shield the ball when he got an accidental knee to the head by Yates, but he can carry on without treatment.

Postecoglou was also happy with his team's performance against Newcastle last time out as he names an unchanged side too. Richarlison gets the nod up front after his brace, and Johnson starts against his former club. Dier is back on the bench after a groin injury, but Giovanni Lo Celso is out after picking up a knock in training.

Cooper was clearly impressed with how his side responded to the Fulham thrashing against Wolves, and he sticks with the same starting line-up from that game. Murillo went off very early in that match with a tight hamstring, but he's recovered to retain his place here.
