This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

NO GOAL! The central defenders for Spurs held their line well, but Udogie was slightly ahead of them to try and block Williams' cross. Elanga still set off too early though, and his goal is ruled out for offside. Still 1-0 Spurs!

ELANGA EQUALISES! But is it going to count? Mangala sweeps it out to the right, and Williams has space to curl a good cross into the six-yard box. Elanga is one of three Forest players running onto it, but he gets there first, rifling it past Vicario from close range, giving the keeper no chance. VAR is having a look at this though...

Gibbs-White is on a mission to get Forest upfield, and he makes another driving run down the left. He's nudged off it by Porro, but reacts quickly to poke it to Toffolo to keep it alive.

GOOD SAVE! Gibbs-White steps up to take the free-kick that he won, and his whipped delivery almost ends up creeping in at the far post. Vicario has to stretch over the crowd to tip it away.

Murillo goes long and though Toffolo can't reach it to get the flick-on, he does enough to put off Skipp, opening it up for Elanga. He surges down the left, but is cut off by Romero as he starts to cut inside. Forest do have a corner though.

GOOD CHANCE! Spurs don't clear their lines properly and Elanga gets his head up to spot Boly completely unmarked on the right side of the box. It seems he's the wrong player to be in that position though as he lifts his shot high over the bar.
