Luton Town vs Brentford
Well, at a time of the season where Luton realistically require any points in order to survive - it’s Brentford who go into the break the happier of the two sides. Rob Edwards’ side have played up to their fervent home support, yet that decisive final ball has been lacking. Doughty, Morris, and Kabore managed to make Flekken work briefly in the first half, yet it was ultimately Kaminski who was put to work to pick the ball out of the net twice. Courtesy of Wissa’s ninth and tenth goals of the term, the first arrived excellently in the 24th minute. Mbuemo slid in his offensive partner with aplomb and the finish into the top right was exemplary. The second goal was a little less impressive just before the break, and followed some gangly defending from Burke who failed to clear an Mbuemo cut back. Luton could be deemed unfortunate with that one, yet with Mbuemo’s curling strike rattling the crossbar from the right, they’ll definitely be looking to the forwards to make much-needed inroads up the other end.

Morris goes close after Osho plays it in from the left, yet an Ajer block takes all power off the broad striker's turning effort and Flekken can gather in simple fashion.

MBUEMO OFF THE BAR! Kaminski was left to watch as the Cameroonian international superbly curled one after it sat up nice on the right side of the box. It strikes the bar and comes back out for Lewis-Potter, but too much dithering allows the hosts to fire away and counter, although to no avail.

Wissa drives at Onyedinma on the left. The goal-scorer wants a corner but he doesn't get his way. It was nicely done by the substitute, getting the ball out for a Luton goal-kick.

Luton have the attacking intent, it's just that final ball that's lacking at the moment. Trying to fight back, it'll no doubt be a lingering fact that the Hatters have a record of W1, D6, L16 when conceding the opening goal in the English Premier League this season.

Barkley, Clark and Chong intricately work it down the left of Brentford's box after a sweeping Mengi cross-field pass gets them going. Ajer tracks back well and slides it out for a corner before Chong can get a shot away. The set-piece is inaffective as Morris is just ahead of the ball and Brentford clear.
