Tottenham went top of the Premier League table with a 1-0 win at Luton Town on Saturday, despite playing the whole of the second half with 10 men.
Dutch defender Micky van de Ven scored the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute when he poked home a first-time shot after a cut back from James Maddison following a Spurs short corner move.
Spurs remain unbeaten after eight league games, and are now two points clear of Manchester City and three ahead of Arsenal, before those two sides meet on Sunday. Luton remain on four points.
The visitors had Yves Bissouma sent off in added time at the end of the first half, receiving a second booking for a dive outside the Luton area, but went on to break the deadlock early in the second-half to eventually claim all three points.
Luton missed some clear chances to take something from the game having weathered an early Spurs storm, but fell to their sixth league defeat of the season.

Luton win their first corner of the game following a Romero deflection behind, but Morris' front-post header is wayward and loops over the top.

Brown pops up on the left flank and fires a cross towards the near post, which flies into the side-netting for a goal-kick despite the hosts demanding a corner!

Porro is dispossessed by Morris, who feeds Mpanzu running wide to his right. His low cross towards Adebayo is half-cleared by Spurs, but Nakamba's follow-up shot is not-so-marvellous and skews well wide.

Lockyer steps in to cut out another Spurs attack, but Richarlison picks up the scraps and curls a shot high and wide from the edge of the box.

SAVED!!! Kulusevski's whipped-in low cross towards Maddison is scythed away by a sliding Lockyer, but the ball drops kindly for Son in the box. He shoots, but it's straight at Kaminski and the Hatters 'keeper makes a comfortable save!

Van de Ven comes forward and has space to shoot from 30 yards. He does so, but the jeers from the crowd begin almost immediately afterwards as the ball sails into the stands.

Tottenham have won 12 of their last 14 Premier League games against promoted sides, and have already beaten Burnley and Sheffield United this season. They've not lost to a side in their debut season in the competition since a 3-1 defeat by Blackpool in 2010-11.
