This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

It's a wonderful switch from Mac Allister to pick out Salah, but a heavy touch gets away from him. Everton patiently work it out from the back and win a free-kick, but it comes to nothing.

Liverpool eventually scramble Everton's corner away and Salah hooks it forward for Diaz. The Reds have four against three as Diaz squares it across, but Onana slides in with an excellent block to stop it from reaching Gravenberch.

Everton's free-kick is taken quickly, and Tsimikas is slow to close Harrison down this time. He checks back to float a good cross to the edge of the six-yard box, but Konate clears it just in front of Calvert-Lewin.

It's a very open game here and Doucoure is steadily making his way up the pitch before he helps it out to Harrison on the right. He's trying to find space for a cross, but can't get around Tsimikas.

GOOD BLOCK! Van Dijk clears Everton's corner, and it's swept out to Szoboszlai to break on the counter down the left. He carries it a long way before laying it off to Diaz, but Young slides in with a brilliant tackle to deflect his shot over the bar.

Liverpool comfortably deal with an Everton free-kick and then break quickly on the counter. Salah surges down the right before it's switched out to Diaz on the left. Young cuts that out to give away a corner, but nothing comes of it.

Tsimikas has acres of space down the left and he whips a wonderful, early delivery in. Gravenberch manages to flick it on while turning, but it flicks off Szoboszlai's chest and Pickford punches it away.
