From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Chelsea are in Russia to take on Krasnodar tonight as the Blues look to secure their first win of the group stage.

Frank Lampard was satisfied with a goalless draw against Sevilla, Chelsea’s main rivals in the group, but knows his side must get a victory against the Champions League newcomers here if they are to assert themselves in the competition.

45+2 mins: Half time. A frustrating half for Juventus as they’ve had two goals disallowed and the only yellow card of the match so far. Kulusevski picking it up just before the break.

Barcelona have been bright, they’ve been pacey and they’ve got their reward courtesy of Ousmane Dembele’s deflected strike.

The next goal could be crucial in this one.

35 mins: Oh my! How have Barca not got a second? Messi slips the ball into the box for Dembele. He holds it up and switches to his left foot before shooting. Szczesny makes the save but the ball comes back to Dembele. He passes back to Griezmann who misses the ball. By the time he recovers it Szczesny is on his feet and he stops Griezmann’s attempt as well.

30 mins: Morata gets the ball into the back of the net for the second time but once again it gets disallowed. Cuadrado plays a sweet curling ball into the box from the right, as Morata tries to get around Araujo. He meets the cross and taps it in but he’s clearly offside.

24 mins: A lovely forward run from Dembele brings Barcelona up the pitch on the counter attack. He picks out Messi who lays it off for Griezmann. Kuluseuski gets back in time to make a solid tackle and the attack breaks down.

21 mins: Barcelona string together a lot of passes probing the edge of the penalty area. Jordi Alba picks out Griezmann who back-heels it to Messi. Messi, in space, pulls his left-footed shot wide of goal.

18 mins: Morata is played in behind the lines and he sprints into the box. His first shot is saved by Neto but hits his arm on the rebound. He turns the ball into the back of the net but the goal is disallowed either for the handball or because Morata was offside when he started his run.
