From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Manchester City have won the Premier League title after victory at Brighton.

Glenn Murray put Brighton ahead in the 27th minute before Sergio Aguero levelled just 83 seconds later in a frantic first-half. City pushed again and Aymeric Laporte put them ahead with a bullet header from a corner just before half-time. Riyad Mahrez's shot from range added to their lead just after the hour mark before Ilkay Gundogan sealed it with a wonderful free-kick.

Here's all the latest reaction from the Amex.

GOAL! Manchester United 0-2 Cardiff City (Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, 54 minutes)

The wheels are coming off at Old Trafford!

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has two, Cardiff have two, and they might have the three points!

Poor defending from Manchester United.

GOAL! Burnley 0-1 Arsenal (Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 55 minutes)

Pace in behind and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cooly slots home!

GOAL! Crystal Palace 3-2 Bournemouth (Jordon Ibe, 54 minutes)

The cat is among the Eagles now! Jordon Ibe!

From 3-0 to 3-2 and the momentum is with Bournemouth...

GOAL! Southampton 1-1 Huddersfield (Alex Pritchard, 55 minutes)

The goals are flying in everywhere! Alex Pritchard levels for Huddersfield!

Pressing high, Pritchard dispossesses Angus Gunn in the Southampton goal and knocks into the empty net.

Brighton 1-2 Manchester City, 59 minutes

Manchester City just about still in control, but Brighton are grappling and grafting.

Ederson looks nervy, a couple of awkward punches, a few misplaced passes, uncharacteristic but not fatal for the moment.

Brighton 1-2 Manchester City, 60 minutes

Ilkay Gündoğan and Raheem Sterling combine, but the effort from the latter is tame in the end, and Mathew Ryan collects.

Time for a change, Pep?

GOAL! Fulham 0-3 Newcastle (Fabian Schar, 61 minutes)

Newcastle love the final day! Fabian Schar heads home from a corner and it's three for Rafa Benitez's side!

Brighton 1-2 Manchester City, 62 minutes

Another tremendous header away from Lewis Dunk, spooning his header from inside the six-yard box and conceding a corner.

GOAL! Brighton 1-3 Manchester City (Riyad Mahrez, 63 minutes)

IS THAT THE GOAL THAT SEALS IT?!?!?!?

A swing of Riyad Mahrez's right boot and the title might be Manchester City's!

He lines one up with his left, and given the strength of that boot you cannot blame Lewis Dunk for flying across in an attempt to block, but Mahrez is canny, rolling the ball across Dunk to create space for a 20-yard drive with his right.

Mathew Ryan gets a palm to it but can't keep it out, and Manchester City know that might be the clincher, celebrating wildly with the subsititues.

GOAL! Crystal Palace 4-2 Bournemouth (Patrick Van Aanholt, 65 minutes)
