Aston Villa drew with Sheffield United as the 2019/20 Premier League season resumes.
After 98 days football in England returned to the field with Villa hoping to get a result to kickstart their push for safety at Villa Park. The Blades have far loftier ambitions and will have their eyes on an unlikely Champions League qualification place should things break right for them between now and the end of the season.
The match was an even affair blighted by controversy as goal-line technology appeared to miss the ball go over the line in the first-half denying Sheffield United a certain goal.

66 mins: Mikel Arteta makes his final three changes as Guendouzi, Willock and Nketiah are replaced with Lacazette, Maitland-Niles and Nelson.

69 mins: The ball comes to Sterling on the right side of the box. He holds it up and lays it off for De Bruyne who runs onto it and forces Leno into another save.
It's De Bruyne's last action of the match as he is replaced with Fernandinho. Rodri comes on for Laporte as well for Man City.

75 mins: Arsenal dig in as Man City attack again. Mendy receives the ball out on the left wing. He fires a cross into the box but Mustafi heads it clear. Tierney launches at Gundogan and is put in the book for his tackle.

Ederson makes an impact on Eric Garcia. The ball comes over the top for Aubameyang. Garcia is tracking him and Ederson comes out to clear the ball and flattens his teammate in the process.
Garcia is down on the ground and is being looked at by the medical staff. He looks hurt.

81 mins: It looks as though Garcia is going to be stretchered off. Ederson hit him with some force and he just dropped to the ground. All accidental of course but still a bad hit.

87 mins: It took a while to see to Eric Garcia but he is taken off the pitch by the medical staff. Pep reorganises his team as the match restarts. 10 vs 10 now.

Man City 3 - 0 Arsenal - Foden
90+1 mins: GOAL! Glorious from Fernandinho who switches the play from deep in his own half to send the ball up to Aguero. He plays a one-two with Sterling to create some space in the box. Aguero then beats Leno and hits the post before Foden puts the rebound into the back of the net.
Man City 3 - 0 Arsenal
90+4 mins: Foden puts the ball through to Aguero who runs into the box, shoots and hits the side-netting. He puts his hands to his head in disappointment.
