Over the break it was one of their stars in Jack Grealish who was making all the headlines, shining with England and quickly becoming a favourite of the national team’s fans.
Domestically, Villa have won five of their seven games so far and a win will take them level with Leicester City, who went into the break top of the table.

Another menacing attack from the visitors as Lamptey surges down the right. His ball to the back post is met by March, who fires the ball against the arm of Cash. There are appeals for handball, but it had already gone out of play for a goal kick.

There could well be more goals in this for both teams. Brighton still aren’t secure at the back, and Webster makes a meal of a floated ball into the box. His failed clearance allows Luiz to shoot, but his effort flies into the stand behind the goal.

Brighton are back in front! It’s neat interplay on the edge of the box from the visitors. Gross sends a low cross towards the back post, where March meets it, planting an emphatic finish past Martinez and into the top corner.
