60 mins: Maddison darts inside from the left as Vardy makes a run into the box. Dias and Ake track Vardy leaving a little slither of room for Maddison to shoot. He does but pulls the effort wide of the near post.

57 mins: Great from Tielemans. A poor clearance from Soyuncu gives the ball to Fernandinho who sends it up to Mahrez. He dances across th front edge of the box but loses possession to a backtracking Tielemans. He turns and sends the ball up to Maddison as Leicester break on the counter. Maddison gives it to Barnes who forces the ball out for a corner.

54 mins: Man City play another corner short and give the ball to Mahrez. He dinks it into the box for Edozie who cuts it back to Gundogan. Gundogan runs onto the chance but smokes it wide of goal.

51 mins: Poor from Mahrez. He’s been taking a lot of stick from the Leicester fans in the crowd today and has the chance to silence them as Man City win a free kick just outside of the ‘D’. Mahrez places the ball, sets himself and then fires his effort well over the bar much to the delight of the Leicester fans.

48 mins: Great defending from Ruben Dias. After a bit of to and fro in midfield the ball comes to Maddison who slots it beautifully into the right side of the box for Vardy. Dias comes across as Vardy shifts the ball to his right foot. He shoots but Dias holds his fround and blocks the effort.

Harvey Barnes picked up a bad injury and missed the back end of last season for Leicester. He’s back today and has looked sharp. His link up play with Jamie Vardy has been of point.

Steffen gets a glove to the shot and manages to deflect it onto the back post before the ball is booted clear. Vardy can’t believe he’s not scored.
