The Foxes have been dismal this season and sit bottom of the table with a single point to their name from seven matches, that draw coming on the opening day of the campaign. Since then it has been very tough going for Brendan Rodgers’ side, thrashed before the international break by Spurs and unable to add to their squad in any meaningful way over summer, despite a couple of key departures.
As for Forest, their return to the top flight meant a very busy transfer window and more than 20 new signings - but Steve Cooper’s side have managed just one win themselves so far and sit one place, and three points, above Leicester. A win would, however, take them out of the bottom three tonight.

While Forest have been second best throughout the first 45 minutes, Awoniyi should have converted their best chance of the first half. He latched onto Gibbs-White's pass, but his right-footed effort clipped the post instead of hitting the back of the net. Cooper needs to change something at the break, or his team could fall further behind.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Forest have been run ragged so far this evening. Leicester may have got lucky with their opening goal, as Maddison's shot deflected off McKenna, but they have deserved the lead after a courageous display. Barnes' powerful strike doubled their tally, while there was nothing fortunate about Leicester's third, thanks to Maddison's sensational free-kick. Leicester have needed a performance like this all season, and they are now just 45 minutes away from winning their first game of the campaign.
