From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Scotland will be looking to bounce back against San Marino after their humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of Kazakhstan.

After that shock upset, San Marino will certainly fancy their chances against Alex McLeish's side - despite being the lowest-ranked country in world football and having conceded 37 goals in their last ten matches.

Scotland must now secure a win to keep their hopes of automatically qualifying for Euro 2020 alive.

Both sides are slowly feeling their way back into the game after the restart. James, the standout performer in the first half, has continued where he left off, driving at the Slovakia defence when he has the ball at his feet.

Slovakia's best chance of the game! Rusnak makes a run in behind and finds himself one on one with Hennessey. The goalkeeper makes himself big and stops the shot. It ricochets back off Rusnak, though, and rolls inches wide of the post.

Slovakia are playing with far more intensity now. They work the ball to the edge of the Wales box, where Hamsik is able to feed a pass into Mak. He swivels and drills a low shot towards the bottom corner, but Hennessey gets down to save.

Brilliant from James. He flies down the left, knocks the ball through Pekarik's legs and picks out Wilson with time and space in the box. He places his shot wide of the far post, though, and another chance is squandered.
