From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Danny Cowley and his Lincoln team will aim to "achieve the impossible" again when they take on Burnley this weekend but the Imps boss believes their FA Cup run - whenever it ends - will stand the club in good stead for the future.
Cowley has guided National League leaders Lincoln to the fifth round for the first time in 130 years and at Turf Moor on Saturday they will attempt to become the first non-league side to reach the quarter-finals since the competition's current format was instigated in 1925.
Lincoln City have no fresh injury problems but Lee Beevers remains out with a long-term knee injury.
Burnley are without Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick for their FA Cup fifth round clash against National League leaders Lincoln.
Brady is cup-tied having played for Norwich earlier in the competition, while Hendrick serves the second match of a three-game suspension.
Steven Defour (hamstring) is still out and Johann Berg Gudmundsson is fit to return, while the likes of Jon Flanagan, James Tarkowski, Tendayi Darikwa, Scott Arfield and Sam Vokes can all expect recalls.

Saturday's FA Cup fixtures:
12.30pm: Burnley v. Lincoln City
3.00pm: Huddersfield v. Man City
3.00pm: Middlesbrough v. Oxford Utd
3.00pm: Millwall v. Leicester
3.00pm: Wolverhampton v. Chelsea
34 mins: GOAL! MIDDLESBROUGH 2 OXFORD 0:
A first Middlesbrough goal for Rudy Gestede and it's now a long way back for League One Oxford United. The former Aston Villa forward is known for his aerial prowess, but rarely does he execute that ability with the athleticism he has just demonstrated. Adama Traore delivered a cross into the area, and the Benin striker powered an epic bicycle kick past Simon Eastwood to double the home side's lead.
43 mins: Millwall 0 Leicester 0: The home side have weathered the storm and have forced their way back into the contest at the New Den, and - in fact - are finishing the half as the stronger team. Leicester goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler is finding himself under fire, but has just kept his cool to stop Callum Butcher's header after the midfielder had met Shaun Williams' cross.
Let's recap on the story of the day, perhaps the season. Lincoln City have become the first non-league side in over 100 years to make it to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after Sean Raggett's 89th minute header defeated Premier League Burnley at Turf Moor.
Speaking to BT Sport after the match, Lincoln manager Danny Cowley struggled to contain his emotions..
It's a football miracle for a non-league team to be in the last eight. The boys were excellent in playing against a Premier League team.
We are always realists, I will never ask the players to do something they're not capable of but we thought if we could get the game plan right we could compete.
I'm not often lost for words, but I am today.
SECOND HALF KICK-OFF: Oxford United have it all to do at Middlesbrough, but the two other FA Cup games are in the balance as the second halves kick-off. Could Huddersfield and Millwall follow in Lincoln's footsteps by defeating Premier League opponents to book a place in the last eight?
52 mins: RED CARD! Millwall 0 Leicester 0:
If Millwall are to produce a giant-killing act, they're going to have to do it the hard way because they are down to ten men following Jake Cooper's dismissal. The young centre-back was cautioned at the end of the first half after catching Leicester goalkeeper Zieler, and now he has dived in on Ahmed Musa after the forward had skipped away from his man on the touchline. Craig Pawson has only shown two yellow cards in this one, unfortunately for Millwall, both have been in the direction of Cooper.
64 mins: GOAL! MIDDLESBROUGH 2 OXFORD 1:
League One Oxford United have one back and have hope at the Riverside Stadium. After giving away an earlier penalty, Chris Maguire has repaid his debt with a lovely free-kick. Curling the ball over the wall, the forward has beaten Brad Guzan from 20 yards. It's game on!
65 mins: GOAL! MIDDLESBROUGH 2 OXFORD 2:
Unbelievable! Two goals in two minutes, and Oxford United are level at Middlesbrough! Antonio Martinez has bagged the second after the visitors won possession straight from kick-off. Rob Hall found goalscorer Chris Maguire, and when his shot was parried by Brad Guzan, Martinez arrived to poke home. What drama this cup competition has seen today!
