Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Roma appear vulnerable as they enter the last 16 of the Champions League nearly a year on from their incredible run to the semi-finals, where Liverpool finally eliminated them.

Porto await, quietly confident of landing themselves a quarter-final spot with one of the easiest routes in living memory, having gone unbeaten in a group including Schalke, Lokomotiv Moscow and Galatasaray.

The Giallorossi have one of the youngest, most talented sides around, including midfield revelation Nicolo Zaniolo, can they hold their composure at home to take a lead back to the Dragao? Follow it live:

Alexis Sanchez has been warming up throughout the break, as has Juan Mata, who will replace Anthony Martial.

We're back underway

Manchester United get the second half going.

47: Presnel Kimpembe, who is already on a yellow card, may have got away with a second one after the referee waves Marcus Rashford to his feet having skipped beyone the PSG defender. Interesting that.

48: Ashley Young works a good ball to Marcus Rashford and United are away. He works to the right and swings in a tastey looking cross, but Alexis Sanchez, who is closet to getting it, wants it pulled back instead.

50: Now this may surprise you...there's been another yellow card. Victor Lindelof is the sixth to see yellow after bringing down Julia Draxler. That's three each now.

Manchester United 0-1 PSG

Presnel Kimpembe opens the scoring with his first ever goal for PSG!

Angel Di Maria curls a great corner from the right towards the back post. Nemanja Matic is in closest attendance with Kimpembe but seems to want his goalkeeper to collect it instead. David De Gea stays rooted and Kimpembe has a simple finish right in front of goal.

55: What's the Manchester United response? Well PSG have another corner and a bottle from the crowd has been thrown in the direct of Angel Di Maria.

Jack Watson12 February 2019 21:19

56: The corner comes in and David De Tea beats the ball away. The ball comes to Dani Alves on the edge of the box and he gets a sweet connection on the ball to slam it back into the box, it takes a deflection off Paul Pogba and goes just beyond the post. United are against it here.

Jack Watson12 February 2019 21:20

Presnel Kimpembe certainly enojyed that one. What a time to score your first goal for the club.

Jack Watson12 February 2019 21:21

59: Juan Mata's searching cross into the box is headed clear as far as Ander Herrera, who slams a volley into the ground and just past the post.
