12 mins: It's been a fairly open start to the game at Old Trafford, but one thing to go in United's favour is Valencia's lack of goalscoring prowess.
Michy Batshuayi will be tasked with fixing that, on loan from Chelsea
AEK ATHENS 0-2 BENFICA (Grimaldo 15')
Benfica already two goals to the good in Greece...
19 mins: A fairly even start here, Goncalo Guedes has looked bright for Valencia, however he's been absolutely clattered by Antonio Valencia which may put a stop to that.
Marcus Rashford has broken through on the left but his final touch has let him down on a couple of occasions. One of the more open games you'll see at Old Trafford.
GOAL! BAYERN MUNICH 1-1 AJAX (Mazraoui 22')
That goal was assisted by Dusan Tadic - remember him Southampton fans? Plenty of action at the Allianz Arena, whilst we await our first goal at Old Trafford
28 mins: Manchester United looking dangerous from crosses, and Rashford hits Garay with his latest header. Valencia break forward with ease, one-touch passing and fluidity, but stutter when they get to the United area, leaving their defence with plenty of time to recover.
31 mins: Batshuayi brings down Pogba from 25 yards out. Alexis Sanchez steps up to take but it ricochets over the top of the wall. He's another one that could really do with a goal this evening...
33 mins: Rodrigo picks up a yellow card for an elbow in the throat to Eric Bailly. It looked accidental, and has caught the defender who is receiving treatment but is back on his feet now
37 mins: Eric Bailly has received some more treatment on that earlier injury, and Victor Lindelof is out to warm up. Looks like Bailly will be okay to continue for the moment.
