From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

After putting four past Fenerbahce last month, Manchester United will be out for three more points tonight as they take on their Turkish opponents in Instanbul.

In a recent change in opinion, Jose Mourinho admitted he is now willing to take the Europa League more seriously - as it offers a route to the Champions League.

“My opinion changed because the rules changed and the Europa League - the winner has a direct [path] to the Champions League,” Mourinho said.

“In the last couple of years the Europa League for the big clubs has a different meaning."

Currently sat in second place in Group A on six points, tied with Feyenoord, a win this evening will see United move to nine points and put the side in a strong position for qualification.

45 min: And we're back underway! Mourinho has made one change at half-time replacing Morgan Schneiderlin for Juan Mata.

48 min: Fenerbahce start brightly to dominate possession in the opening two minutes. Juan Mata is left running in circles as he attempts to chase the ball down and eventually concedes a foul to hand the opposition a free-kick near the half-way line.

50 min: Another free-kick, this time for United as Martial looks to get away with a burst of pace near the centre circle but is clipped at the ankles.

54 min: Anthony Martial cuts in from the left flank and drifts one in to centre of the Fenerbahce box. An unmarked Rooney tries his luck and attempts to direct the cross into the right-hand side bottom corner but can't get quite enough on his headed attempt. The ball whistles past the post for a Fenerbahce goal-kick. Another squandered chance in front of goal.

58 min: The home side work the ball well through the centre of the park as a neat one-two allows Topal to charge into space. He darts towards the United back with Ibrahimovic on his back who eventually opts for the foul, conceding a free kick in the process.

GOAL! Fenerbahce 2-0 Lens (Lens, 60 min)

What. A. Goal. From 30 or so yards out, Jeremain Lens stepped up to deliver a moment of sheer class. Positioned right of centre, he curled the ball around the outside of the United wall to pick out the top right-hand corner of De Gea's goal. The United keeper stood all-but motionless. A fantastic strike and the visitors now find themselves with a real mountain to climb.

68 min: Another chance for the home side! Sow burst into the United box to meet a well-timed delivery from the box but a weak pass prevented the forward from bringing the ball fully under control. It bounced awkwardly, forcing him to hesitate, thereby allowing Blind to somehow stick in a vital leg to knock the ball away for a corner.

72 min: Free-kick for United from 35 yards out. It's Zlatan who fancies his chances...but he fires it straight into the wall on the edge of the box. That pretty much sums up his game so far.

75 min: United's woes worsen as Sow barges his way to the edge of the United box, holding off Blind in the process, before drilling an effort across the deck to De Gea's left-hand side. The keeper got down in time to save his teammates' blushes but the visitors are looking increasingly out of sorts.
