85 min: A corner for City five minutes to go. Silva swings it in from the left and it's Otamendi who gets there first. He was moving away from the goal though and struggled to direct the ball on target as his effort sailed wide of the near post.
89 min: City are really taking their time now. They've got plenty of space at the back and the Germans aren't really pressing as the defence strings the ball between themselves. Given their lack of urgency it's clear to see that Pep's players will be happy with the draw.

And that's that! City book their spot in the last-16 having seen out a safe draw tonight in Germany. It wasn't the most emphatic of performances but the visitors managed the game in a professional and composed manner, and that was all that was needed. Not what we expected from City given their last performance in the CL against Barcelona but they can now breathe a sigh of relief having taken another step in the right direction.
