Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

La Liga leaders Barcelona face mid-table Eibar at the Camp Nou on Sunday evening.

Ernesto Valverde’s men actually come off the back of a loss to Levante in the Copa del Rey on Thursday, but have won their last five league games.

Eibar have drawn their last five matches in all competitions, including a 0-0 at home to Villarreal last week; they are in 13th place on 22 points.

What time does it start?

Barcelona vs Eibar kicks off at 5:30pm (GMT) on Sunday 13 January.

Where can I watch it?

Barcelona vs Eibar will be shown live on Eleven Sports 1 from 5:25pm (GMT).

Highlights will be on the Eleven Sports website after the game.

Player to watch…

Luis Suarez: The Uruguayan scored a fantastic volley last week at Getafe, and has 17 goals to his name this season in all competitions. Despite this, the 31-year-old hasn’t scored at the Camp Nou since a hat-trick against Real Madrid in October.

90+1 minutes: Barcelona 3-0 Eibar

Arbilla rises to meet a corner, but heads way over.

Looks like Eibar aren't going to get there goal.

FULL-TIME: Barcelona 3-0 Eibar

Comfortable in the end for the league leaders, as their quality in the final third showed.

A double for Luis Suarez and a landmark 400th La Liga goal by Lionel Messi secures three points which sends Barca five points clear at the top of the table.

Eibar performed well, but couldn't create anything substantial.
