Chelsea vs Juventus LIVE: Champions League result, final score and reaction

Roman Abramovich was in London but couldn’t make Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night, and he probably missed what he has most wanted during all his time at Chelsea.

This was a display entirely befitting of European champions, where they just motored over one of the continent’s biggest names in magnificent fashion. Even more pleasingly, the first three goals in this 4-0 win over Juventus were scored by different academy products - with the exceptional Reece James standing, or perhaps sprinting, given his energy, above all.

That was maybe what was most ominous for the rest of England, and Europe. Chelsea put in such a performance without Romelu Lukaku, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz and with N’Golo Kante having to go off before half-time.

Chelsea produced one of their finest performances of the season on Tuesday night, thrashing Juventus 4-0 at Stamford Bridge to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner all scored for Thomas Tuchel’s team, who usurped their beaten opposition at the top of Group H with this result.

Unfortunately for the Blues coach, N’Golo Kante and Ben Chilwell left the pitch due to injury, but there were still far more positives than negatives for the German to take away from this game.

There were three late goals in Switzerland, where Atalanta led 2-1 against Young Boys, fell 3-2 behind before coming back to draw 3-3, meaning that not only have Manchester United qualified for the last-16 - with their 2-0 win over Villarreal - but they also can’t be caught at the top Group F.

Chelsea booked their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League and moved top of their group with a breathtaking 4-0 victory over Juventus at Stamford Bridge.

Second half goals for Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James and Timo Werner top off a brilliant night for Chelsea. Their only downside being an injury to Ben Chilwell.

90+5 mins: Icing on the cake! Reece James floats a diagonal ball over to Hakim Ziyech on the left wing and Juan Cuadrado fumbles the ball when he tries to bring it down. Ziyech jumps onto it and slots and simple pass into the six-yard box where Timo Werner pops up and taps in from close range.
