32 min: Arsenal's best chance: the former Dortmund duo Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang combine with the former fizzing a low cross for the latter, but the striker can't quite get his feet sorted in time and the ball rushes away from him. He had space at the back post and probably would have scored had a made a clean connection.
37 min: Arsenal are controlling this game, without creating all that much. Smith-Rowe plays a nice flick into the path of Kolasinac but Caballero smothers.
40 min: Kolasinac bites at Pedro with his studs and the Chelsea man is down for a moment, but shakes off the knock soon enough.
42 min: Hudson-Odoi causes trouble again, chasing Jorginho's clever chip over the defence and running through on goal only to see his shot saved by Cech. That was, in a nutshell, exactly what Jorginho brings, and exactly why Hudson-Odoi is such a threat.
Half-time: Arsenal 0-1 Chelsea
Rudiger's header separates the sides at the break. A decent half, that. Arsenal have had plenty of the ball but undoubtedly the most threatening player has been Callum Hudson-Odoi.
46 min: The second half is under way and Andreas Christensen is on for David Luiz in Chelsea's defence.
49 min: Arsenal back on the ball, but again not looking hugely threatening.
54 min: It's fair to say not a whole lot is happening. Chelsea attempt to press high but get it only leaves them open to the counter, led by Mkhitaryan, which starts with purpose but fades away.
57 min: Rudiger with another free header from a corner, but this time it arrows just wide.
