Tour de France 2021 LIVE: Stage 20 results and reaction from time trial route from Libourne to Saint-Emilion

Vingegaard is 21 seconds off Van Aert’s pace at the second checkpoint, but still some ride from the Jumbo-Visma man. He is one minute ahead of Carapaz and solidifying his second place in the general classification.

Carapaz still going faster than O’Connor and Kelderman, a stellar ride from the Ecuadorian who has the reputation of being a poor time trialist. Not today.

Rigoberto Uran has struggled in the final week of this race. He ends the time trial more than three minutes off the pace of Wout van Aert.

A poor TT from Uran who is going to finish 10th in the general classification.

What you look like after (potentially) winning a Tour de France time trial:

Vingegaard well up on Carapaz. The Dane is 38 seconds ahead of Carapaz and also eclipsing the performance of Pogacar at the moment.

He isn’t too far off Van Aert’s time, just needs to make up a handful of seconds. It’s Jumbo-Visma vs Jumbo-Visma for the stage win.

Mattia Cattaneo with a superb time trial! The Italian crosses the line in provisional fifth place, just 49 seconds down on Wout van Aert.

Still no one can get near the Belgian’s checkpoint times though.

And Pogacar is even further outside of the time of Van Aert. The yellow jersey is 20 seconds down on the Belgian’s time.

Jonas Vingegaard went through the first checkpoint 12 seconds off the time of Wout van Aert.

Richard Carapaz has actually gone through the first time check marginally faster than both WIlco Kelderman and Ben O’Connor.

Only waiting for the last two riders to get to the first checkpoint. Vingegaard and then Pogacar.
