Luke Campbell challenged the sensational Vasyl Lomachenko for the world lightweight title at the O2 Arena on Saturday night.

It was Campbell's second chance at world honours, with the Hull man coming up short once again as the pound-for-pound King's class was simply too much in the end.

Lomachenko remains considered the number one fighter in the world by many but Campbell provided the Ukranian with arguably his toughest test to date in the lightweight division so far.

The undercard was packed with action, including Alexander Povetkin against Hughie Fury, with the Russian prevailing in a unanimous decision victory.

Recap on all the action below.

Please allow a moment for the updates to load.

What time is it?

The fight is tonight at London’s O2 Arena.

Where can I watch the fight?

You can watch the fight live on Sky Sports Box Office.

The fight will cost £19.95 to purchase.

Replays will air at 9am and 4pm on Sunday, September 1.

Who is fighting on the undercard?

Vasyl Lomachenko vs Luke Campbell (vacant WBC, WBA Super, WBO lightweight)

Hughie Fury vs Alexander Povetkin (heavyweight)

Joe Cordina vs Gavin Gwynne (lightweight)

Joshua Buatsi vs Ryan Ford (light heavyweight)

James Tennyson vs Atif Shafiq (lightweight)

Savannah Marshall vs Daniele Bastieri (women's super-middleweight)

Martin Joseph Ward vs Josue Bendana (super featherweight)

Dalton Smith vs Daryl Pearce (super lightweight)

Connor Coghill vs Dean Jones (super featherweight)

Round nine:

Tough one to score with not much clean action but it was Povetkin being the aggressor, and Fury's corner are having to do a lot of work on the cut above his eye.

Slightly edge that one to Povetkin.

86-85 to the Russian.

You get the feeling Povetkin is one punch away here, constantly attempting the overhand right, and his engine looks good so far.

Round 10:

Nothing significant or clean landed in that round by either man, can't really score it.

It's become a bit messy now, both are tired and a bit clumsy at this point.

I'll score that one a draw.

Povetkin leads 96-95.

Round 11:

Fury gets back to his double jab but looks tired and gets buzzed by an overhand right from Povetkin, but ties his opponent up and it closes out to be a messy round.

Difficult again with not much in it but that one edges to Fury.

105-105 a piece going into the final round.

Adam Hamdani31 August 2019 22:09

Let me just say that, the scoring for this one could be any which way, it depends what you and the judges watching on like to see.

Povetkin could be well ahead on some cards, and Fury could be well ahead on others. I've got it very, very close.

3 more minutes and then it's the big one.

Round 12:

Povetkin landed a couple of good stiff jabs to the head which snapped Fury's head back there but the fatigue in him ultimately meant a lack of power. Fair play, he's 40 in a couple of days.

I give that final round a draw, meaning my final score is a 115-115 draw. Boring, sorry.

Adam Hamdani31 August 2019 22:13

ESPN's Dan Rafael not a fan of that one, seems many people weren't.

We await the scorecards...

Adam Hamdani31 August 2019 22:14

All three judges score it 117-11 to Alexander Povetkin, who wins by unanimous decision!

Adam Hamdani31 August 2019 22:16

A very, very disappointing result for Hughie Fury who suffers his third career defeat.

All credible opponents in Joseph Parker, Kubrat Pulev and Alexander Povetkin.
