The 40-year-old Filipino multiple world champion was quicker and more accurate as he controlled each round and cruised to the triumph over Broner, 29, who fought gamely and stayed upright despite being hit with several heavy combinations.
Retired great Floyd Mayweather attended the fight, fueling speculation of a rematch against Pacquiao. Undefeated Mayweather beat Pacquiao in 2015.

After losing to Pacquiao, Broner was just a little bit fired up, wasn't he?

Mayweather Promotions' Leonard Ellerbe has spoken on the possibility of Floyd returning to face Manny Pacquiao in a rematch.
Chances don't look great.
He's [Mayweather] retired, he has no interest in doing that," said Ellerbe, when asked about fighting Pacquiao again.
It's not always about the money, believe it or not. What more can the man do?
He doesn't have the motivation, the desire. He's living the best life, travelling, running his multiple businesses, spending his well-hard earnings that he spent blood and tears on for years.
He'll be 42 come February 24 and enough is enough. What good does it do to earn all that money but you can't stick around and spend it. He has had a phenomenal career, he has broken all the records and he has nothing to prove.

Heavyweight prospect Joe Joyce was at the MGM and watched Pacquiao-Broner ringside. Here's what he had to say when speaking to Behind The Gloves:
I'm not sure why he raised his hands at the end of the fight, he didn't do enough to win the fight. He was very careful and managed to get some counters but Pacquiao was landed more heavy, eye-catching shots. He clearly won. It's kind of delusional, in amateurs you would do that to get the judges to think you've won but ... when Pacquiao won so clearly, how can you think that?
