From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Dave Allen beat Lucas Browne in the main event of what was an entertaining night of boxing, earning his biggest career victory to date.
The two heavyweights earnt the main event slot after Dereck Chisora—who defeated Senad Gashi in an underwhelming co-main event, graciously gave it up.
Elsewhere, Josh Kelly returned from injury with a shutout win against Przemyslaw Runowski, Joe Cordina beat Andy Townend and Conor Benn kept his unbeaten record going.

Fight preview:
When and where is the boxing?
Tonight’s main event takes place around 10pm, with live coverage from 8pm. The show takes place at the O2 Arena.
Where can I watch it?
You can still get tickets if you fancy turning up to the arena, but elsewhere it’ll be on Sky Sports Main Event.
What is the full fight card?
- Dereck Chisora vs Senad Gashi
- Josh Kelly vs Przemyslaw Runowski
- Joe Cordina vs Andy Townend
- Conor Benn vs Josef Zahradnik
- Shannon Courtenay vs Roz Mari Silyanova
Round seven:
Gashi is trying to rough Chisora up here, holding and leaning against him but it's not working much.
Chisora hasn't lost focus for a second of this fight but is yet to make waves.
Every time Gashi walks back to his corner, he's looking at the crowd, laughing and talking.
Round eight:
Fans are growing frustrated with the fight, calling it 'boring'. Chisora hasn't gone through the gears yet, still not letting his hands go.
In fairness, this is still just the first fight for Chisora under Coldwell. That and the fact his and Gashi's styles just do not gel whatsoever.
Can't always be in exciting fights, I guess.
Round nine:
Chisora starts to unload but gets caught by a straight left as he goes in and retreats back slightly behind his jab.
Gashi still moving around at a pace we saw in the first round (minus the random sprinting) while it looks like Chisora has slowed somewhat.
Chisora lands a big overhand left and Gashi walks it off, fairly unfazed. Into the final round we go, I have it wide for Del Boy going into the 10th and final round of the bout.
Round 10:
Chisora comes out of his corner and starts throwing wildly, looking for the grand slam finish but doesn't land much.
Everything Gashi throws gets blocked but he must've walked 3,000 miles* around the ring across all 12.
Dillian Whyte was even cheering him on in the final round: 'Come on Del Boy! Big right overhand!'
The fight comes to an end and while it looks to be a Chisora one, that was somewhat unconvincing and the question is: where does he go next, if anywhere?
*Unconfirmed.
It's main event time!
Lucas Browne is in the ring and comes out to the Notorious BIG. Fair play.
Both men are in the ring, the introductions are done and HERE WE GO!
I have to say, Dave Allen's choice of Fields of Gold by Eva Cassidy is an absolute banger.
Round one:
However many thousand there are here, they're all here for Dave Allen. The support is stunning and deafening.
Allen keeps out of range and lets his jab works, Browne throws the big rights but most are blocked.
A tough opener to score so I'll give it a draw - but at least both men are standing in the middle of the ring going at each other.
