Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. It’s finally time. Anthony Joshua tonight takes on Joseph Parker with no fewer than four world titles on the line.
Joshua's WBA (Super), IBF and IBO world titles will be on the line, as will Parker's WBO belt, in the first ever heavyweight unification fight to held in Britain.
Some 78,000 fans are expected at the Principality Stadium this evening, in Joshua’s third consecutive stadium fight.
Both men head into the contest as undefeated world champions, but Joshua is the overwhelming favourite to win, with lucrative contests against the likes of Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury awaiting the winner.

Joshua could so easily have had his career halted immediately... by prison.
That's according to his first ever coach anyway. Here's what Sean Murphy had to say about making Joshua the man he is today when he met up with The Independent.
A huge left uppercut at the end of the sixth could have had Parejo in trouble there but he wore it with no wobble in his legs. Burnett is looking sharp, looking confident.
Burnett is still doing well but he has a cut after the seventh round and has apparently told trainer Adam Booth that he thinks he has broken his right hand.
We're in the 11th now and so far Burnett should have done enough, despite his injuries. Parejo hasn't offered too much and Burnett has always looked comfortable. Still time for that to change though.
And that is that!
Has Burnett done enough? He has on my score but let's see what the judges have on theirs...
All three score it to Burnett and he is STILL the WBA world bantamweight champion!
Just 30 minutes to go until Anthony Joshua walks to the ring...
Here's Steve Bunce giving you the ultimate preview of the biggest fight of the year so far...
David Price is up next against Alexander Povetkin before the main event.
Here's Steve Bunce's big preview:
The directors of Creed II - which starred Tony Bellew as the villain - are here and the crowd are being asking cheer and boo on demand. We need boos but 'Ooooooh Anthony Joshua' has broken out, much to the annoyance of the creators of Creed II.
Hollywood, eh.
