Your support makes all the difference.The Boulder Police Department has revealed the names of the 10 people killed during a mass shooting at a King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, Colorado, with local police officer Eric Talley, 51, among the victims.
The youngest victim was 20 years old and the oldest victim was 65 years old. Their families were notified shortly after 3am local time on Tuesday morning after all victims were identified by police.
Police also revealed the identity of the 21-year-old suspect. He was currently in the hospital seeking medical treatment but in stable condition, police said. He is expected to be released from the hospital and transported to Boulder County Jail later on Tuesday.
The suspect was charged with 10 counts of murder following the attack that started at 3pm local time on Monday. Eyewitnesses described a male gunman in tactical gear opening fire in silence on terrified shoppers.
“We had a very tragic incident today,” Chief Yamaguchi said on Monday. “There was loss of life, we have multiple people who were killed in this incident, and I am sorry to have to report that one of them was a Boulder police officer.”

The attack stunned a state that has seen several mass shootings, including the 1999 Columbine High School massacre and the 2012 Aurora movie theater shooting.

Authorities have revealed that the suspected gunman in the Boulder, Colorado, shooting purchased the rifle that was used during the mass shooting six days earlier, according to the Associated Press.
Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, 21, was charged with 10 counts of murder in the first degree following the events that occurred on Monday at a King Soopers grocery store.
He was in the hospital currently due to a “through and through” leg wound, but police said he would likely be transported to Boulder County Jail later on Tuesday.
The Denver Post reported last week that a local judge blocked Boulder from enforcing its two-year-old ban on assault weapons and large-capacity magazines in the city.
The investigation into the mass shooting is ongoing. But police said during a Tuesday press conference that the suspected shooter’s motive was not yet known.

GoFundMe page created for the victims’ families following shooting
A GoFundMe page that’s been verified by the website was created in an effort to raise money for the families of the 10 victims who were killed in Boulder, Colorado, on Monday.
All of the funds made through the page will be given to the victims’ family through the Colorado Healing Fund, a Colorado nonprofit created to help people dealing with mass casualty events.
Boulder police correct misspelling of one victim’s name
The Boulder Police Department has informed the public that they inadvertently misspelled the name of one of the victim’s in the mass shooting on Monday.
Denny Stong, 20, not Strong, was killed at a King Soopers grocery store along with nine other victims.
Arrest affidavit describes incident where suspected shooter played with ‘machine gun’ two days ago
The arrest affidavit of the suspected shooter in the Boulder mass shooting has provided more details about the events that occurred before, during, and after the incident on Monday.
Detectives spoke with the wife of one of Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa’s brothers, who lived in the same home as the suspected gunman.
She described an incident two days before the shooting where Alissa was playing with a “machine gun” in the home.
“She was also hesitant to mention it but stated that Alissa was seen playing with a gun she thought looked like a ‘machine gun’ about 2 days ago,” the affidavit detailed. “She did not believe the gun looked like the rifles she has seen in old Western movies, and that she thought it looked like a ‘machine gun.’”
Alissa was described as a “white male, 5’06” tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes, with [a] Colorado Driver’s License.”
He had a local address in Arvada, Colorado – a city just south of Boulder.
Police charged the suspected gunman with 10 counts of murder in the first degree.

Police have revealed the gunman suspected of killing 10 people in a mass shooting on Monday in a Boulder, Colorado supermarket bought an assault rifle six days prior, as authorities race to find out more and president Biden pushes for stricter gun control in the wake of the killings.
According to an affidavit released on Tuesday, suspect Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa used an AR-15 rifle in the shooting, a semiautomatic, military-style weapon common in mass shootings.
The court document did not describe where the gun itself was purchased, according to the AP, which first reported it.
Mr Alissa's family told investigators they believed he was mentally ill, and sometimes had delusions that people were following or chasing him.

The brother of a Colorado man who shot and killed 10 people at a Boulder grocery store on Monday described his sibling as deeply disturbed.
Police identified the grocery store gunman as 21-year-old Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, who was shot through the leg and taken into custody after officers arrived at the scene of the shooting.
Mr Alissa's brother spoke with The Daily Beast, calling him "very anti-social" and paranoid.
"When he was having lunch with my sister in a restaurant, he said, 'People are in the parking lot, they are looking for me,'" the brother, Ali Aliwi Alissa, 34, said. "She went out, and there was no one. We didn't know what was going on in his head."
