From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The world’s 32 best Fifa players have gathered in London to play for the chance to be crowned world champion at the 2019 Fifa eWorld Cup.
Alongside the trophy and bragging rights, the winner will also take home a $250,000 (£210,000) grand prize.
The tournament takes place over three days at the O2 in London, from 2-4 August, with 16 of the players on Playstation and 16 on Xbox. The best of each stream will meet in the final, for a two-legged match to decide the world champion.
Those taking part are the best of the best when it comes to Fifa, meaning any of the players has a legitimate chance of taking home the winner’s trophy.

If MSDossari wins, he becomes the third Saudi winner, and they'd become the most successful country in Fifa eSports.
If MoAuba wins, he becomes Germany's first ever winner, despite the huge number of players the country sends to international competitions.
MSDossari comes energetically out of the gatest, putting a lot of pressure onto MoAuba.
And MoAuba brings it back very quickly. Very much end-to-end stuff here.
GOAL! MoAuba scores!
A lovely worked goal from the counter-attack there gets MoAuba the goal. Smashes it in, despite being on his unfamiliar console.
(Of course, remember that MSDossari goes down a lot, even in his semi-finals.)
