In what was Formula One's 1,000th race in history, Hamilton beat Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas off the line into turn one, and never looked back. Behind, Bottas was able to hold off the Ferraris with ease, given their intra-team battle that threatens to boil over. Ferrari used early team orders to release Sebastian Vettel, gifting him third place but infuriating Charles Leclerc.
And subsequently, Leclerc lost fourth place to Red Bull's Max Verstappen, with the fallout from Ferrari's decision set to rumble on to the next race in Baku. Re-live the live updates below.

Cheqeuered flag: Hamilton takes his 75th career victory and it was a perfect job by the reigning world champion that puts him into the lead of the drivers' standings for the first time this season. Bottas comes home second for the Mercedes one-two, with Vettel in third.
However, for Ferrari the fallout may be more painful as the decision to let him past Leclerc has cost him fourth place to Verstappen, and to make matters worse Gasly did indeed take the point for fastest lap off of Vettel on the final lap.
And by the way, Albon did indeed hold on for 10th and claims his second career point!
Lewis Hamilton: "It's not been the most straightforward of weekends but what a fantastic result for the team, we've worked so hard. We came here and didn't know where we would lay, the Ferraris had been so quick in Bahrain.
"The start was where I made the difference and after that it was fairly easy.
"The strategists have been on point for these first three races so we've got to keep that up. You can see it's been so close between all of us so I don't know how the next race will play out."
Valtteri Bottas: "I lost it in the start, the car was good and the pace was similar. I got some wheelspin when I went over the line on my box and that was it, I lost it there.
"I'm really proud for the team, we've done three perfect weekends. It's not a nice feeling but I'm coming back."
Sebastian Vettel: "I'm happy to be on the podium but we tried to stick with them and we couldn't they were just too fast. And then I had a good battle with Max, so that was fun. I saw him coming and the speed delta at the end of the straight is a lot now, and I thought I'd let him go and cut back. I had a little moment but then got him back, and it was fun.
"I felt I could go faster, and it was difficult for me to find the rhythm and had a couple of lock ups, but I think if you look at the race we didn't have the pace for the Mercedes' anyway. I was watching on the tower for Charles to get Max so it's a shame he didn't, I think it was close."
