Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Budget supermarket Aldi is renowned for its Specialbuys section – it’s the place to snap up a bargain at prices you won’t see anywhere else.
With recent launches including a sell-out hanging egg chair, an underwater fishing camera and a £22.99 Salter espresso coffee machine, we are bringing the good news that this week the retailer is back with a seriously stylish range of home furnishings.
No stranger to homeware, Aldi has previously launched a £20 stylish velvet footstool that is almost identical to Made’s version and an insta-worthy scallop bed range starting from just £249.99.
Now the supermarket is tapping into the popular rattan interiors trend that will give your home some lovely boho-style charm. The rattan craze that’s seeped its way into everyone’s Instagram feeds was first big in the Seventies but has seen huge resurgence over the past few years – and we’re very much here for it.
Beyond making us wistful for summer, bringing brightening natural materials into your living space can help promote a relaxing and light feel in your home.
With so many rattan furniture options on the market – some costing upwards of £500 – Aldi is here once again to save our bank balances: from a £99.99 chest of drawers and a king-size bed for less than £200, to a rattan bedside table for under £50.
You’ll have to be quick, though, as the range is only available online, with Aldi’s previous Specialbuys selling out fast. Officially launching tomorrow, you can pre-order from today for dispatch after 11 March.
You can trust our independent round-ups. We may earn commission from some of the retailers, but we never allow this to influence selections, which are formed from real-world testing and expert advice. This revenue helps to fund journalism across The Independent.
