Your support makes all the difference.Britain’s most beloved baking show is finally back! Bake Off returned with a batch of new contestants hoping to win over Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith’s taste buds.
The second series to air on Channel 4 kicked off with biscuit week and saw the 12 newcomers tasked with creating a set of traditional biscuits inspired by something personal to them. A gentle enough start – unlike the technical challenge, which featured some devilishly tricky marshmallow-making as the new dozen were asked to make wagon wheels.
Following a difficult showstopper that saw the bakers make selfie biscuits, France's own Manon was voted star baker, while Imelda was voted out (narrowly losing to Terry).

Terry's work looks both terrifying and incredible - a surprising expressionist piece. One of the best today. Has he pulled it back? Can he beat Imelda who, we should remember, told us that she "only needed to beat one person". Has she managed to do just that?
Briony and Manon are in line for star baker, while Terry, Imelda and Ruby are looking to be dumped. "What's amazing is that we've just met these 12 and it feels a shame to lose any of them," says Sandi. True.
Imelda's going home! Not Terry! Our guy made it through! Madness! his expressionist masterpiece saved him! Good for him.
Next week, we're finally seeing some cakes! At least they got the most boring week (biscuits) out the way first thing...
