The second series to air on Channel 4 kicked off with biscuit week and saw the 12 newcomers tasked with creating a set of traditional biscuits inspired by something personal to them. A gentle enough start – unlike the technical challenge, which featured some devilishly tricky marshmallow-making as the new dozen were asked to make wagon wheels.
Following a difficult showstopper that saw the bakers make selfie biscuits, France's own Manon was voted star baker, while Imelda was voted out (narrowly losing to Terry).

Grandmother Karen, a product sampler from Yorkshire who's already making fun of Noel. She's going to be this series break-out, mark my words.
Finally, we have Terry. Moustached Terry, who ticks the "cute old white man" box that get filled every year.
Everyone's biscuits, in case you forgot what they are cooking, are doing well. And Imelda is saying it how it is: "Just have to beat one other person, don't you?"
Oh no, Terry! Not having a good time with those chocolate tops! And Karen's having a great time with her crisps.
While we're all feeling sorry for Terry, already, Karen has managed to win over Twitter...
And we're back from the adverts - still seems weird having adverts on Bake Off. Antony, Karen, and Kim-Joy all doing a fine job. Jon could have done with a few more minutes in the oven. And Maron... winning Paul's heart with Hazelnut and chocolate. She's going to go far, isn't she?
Ruby does not look happy that Paul's said those biscuits are dry. Not happy one bit. And Terry... oh Terry... Not your finest hour at all. You're breaking my heart, Terry. "You can be the comeback kid," says Noel. "I hope so," he replies. Don't sound so defeated, Terry!
Imelda and Bryony also nail it. Terry: "Wrong biscuit, wrong day." Oh no, Terry! And it's only going to get harder from here as we move onto the first technical challenge of the series, set by Paul...
Wagon wheels! That's not going to be easy... especially if you're Antony, who doesn't even know what a Wagon Wheel is! It's a classic lunchbox staple, Antony!
