British talent will not just be collecting Oscars this year, but also performing at the awards.

Rita Ora has been confirmed to sing her Oscar-nominated song “Grateful” at this year’s ceremony, marking her debut appearance at the Academy Awards.

The singer, who stars in the forthcoming Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation, will perform the song from the 2014 film Beyond the Lights, which follows a young star who struggles with the pressures of fame.

Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said: “The mixture of her incredible voice and glamour makes a perfect combination for our show.”

Ora will join already confirmed performers Adam Levine, who will sing his Oscar-nominated song “Lost Stars”, and John Legend, who will sing his tipped song “Glory” from Selma.

The two other nominated songs in the Best Original Song category include “Everything is Awesome” from The Lego Movie and “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from Glen Campbell…I’ll Be Me.

The 87th Academy Awards will take place on Sunday 22 February. The ceremony will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky’s pop-up channel Sky Movies Oscars.
