John Legend will perform his Oscar-nominated song “Glory” at the Academy Awards next month.

The “All of Me” singer will take to the stage to perform the uplifting song from Ava DuVernay’s Martin Luther King biopic starring British actor David Oyelowo.

Legend is the second artist confirmed to perform at the ceremony next month. Maroon 5’s Adam Levine will also take to the stage to give a rendition of his Oscar-nominated song “Lost Stars” from Begin Again.

The three other nominated songs in the Original Song category are “Everything is Awesome” from The Lego Movie, “Grateful” from Beyond the Lights and “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” from Glenn Campbell…I’ll Be Me.

Selma has been widely snubbed at this year’s Oscar, receiving just two nominations including one for Best Picture.

The Academy drew criticism for nominating twenty white actors in the acting categories, with no recognition for Oyelowo’s performance, or for the film’s black female director Ava DuVernay.

The 2015 Oscars have been dubbed the “whitest year” since 1998, when no actor of ethnic heritage was nominated in any of the four acting categories.

The 87th Oscars will take place on Sunday 22 February.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC in the US, and can be watched live in the UK on Sky’s pop-up channel Sky Movies Oscars.
