Following the rapturously received first teaser released earlier this year, Disney has released the full trailer for their live-action adaptation of Dumbo.

Directed by Tim Burton, the story centres on the eponymous flying elephant and two children (Nico Parker and Finley Hobbins) who look after the oversized newborn.

Their father, played by Colin Farrell, joins a failing circus, run by Danny DeVito. After they discover Dumbo can fly, the attraction makes a phenomenal comeback, drawing the attention of a persuasive entrepreneur, Michael Keaton – who previously appeared in Burton’s Beetlejuice and Batman films.

Regular Burton collaborator Eva Green also appears in the movie as the ”charming and spectacular” aerial artist, Colette Marchant.

Dumbo marks the latest classic animated movie to be re-made as a live-action movie, following in the success of The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, and Alice in Wonderland. Future adaptations include Aladdin, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid.

The original Dumbo was released back in 1941 and won the Oscar for for best scoring of a musical picture. Behind the scenes, Burton’s movie brings in Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Ben Davis as cinematographer Star Wars: The Last Jedi set designer Rick Heinrichs, Alice in Wonderland‘s Colleen Atwood as costume designer, and Maleficent‘s Chris Lebenzon as editor.
