Your support makes all the difference.When Photobox asked travellers to enter their favourite holiday snaps into a competition, budding photographers did not disappoint.
The 'Around the World in 80 Days' competition attracted a staggering 30,000 entries, showcasing every country in the world. Judges then faced the tough task of selecting just six winners, one picture per continent.
Bob Brewer, from Bristol, was the winner in the North America categrory for his image of Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
'It is a picture taken very early in the morning and shows an old Mormon barn with the Teton Mountains in the background. This was taken whilst on a camping holiday in the area,' said the 62-year-old consulting engineer. He narrowly avoided getting a speeding ticket on his way to meet his wife after spending 'too long trying to get the perfect picture'.
Hannah O’Sullivan, 28, from Wales took the top spot in the Africa category with her portrait of a smiling girl in Ethiopia. She took the snap while undertaking an 'epic journey' across the continent.
Professional photographer and judge Annabel Williams said: “I was amazed to see so many stunning images from all over the world - it just shows what a talented planet we are. It’s so hard to choose just a handful of winners. There are so many deserving photographers whose pictures are just incredible. It really was one of the hardest competitions I’ve ever judged”
The winners' photographs will go on show at London's Old Truman Brewery next month.
