From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

London commuters have been experienced a third day of severe disruptions across the capital’s tube network after a fire alert at Piccadilly Circus and signal failures at Paddington caused the Bakerloo line to be partly suspended.

Severe delays have been experienced across the Bakerloo line on Wednesday after it was suspended between Queen’s Park and Elephant & Castle.

A signal failure at Earl’s Court also caused severe delays on the westbound part of the Circle line on Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, a derailed engineering train caused hours of delays on the Central line, causing it to be part suspended westbound from Marble Arch.

Later that day a person under a train at Liverpool Street caused another section of the line to close.

On Monday there was disruption on three Tube lines during the morning rush hour.
