iPhone X live updates: Apple reveals its most ambitious device ever – latest
Your support helps us to tell the story
My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona has shown me how crucial independent journalism is in giving voice to underrepresented communities.
Your support is what allows us to tell these stories, bringing attention to the issues that are often overlooked. Without your contributions, these voices might not be heard.
Every dollar you give helps us continue to shine a light on these critical issues in the run up to the election and beyond

Apple just held its biggest event of the year. And it launched its biggest product of the year, the iPhone 8 – before going ahead and announcing an even bigger one, the iPhone X.
There was actually three phones: the cheaper iPhone 8, and the premium and more expensive X.
And that wasn't all – there was also an updated Apple Watch, an even better looking Apple TV, and software updates for most of Apple's products.
Follow along here for all the latest updates from Apple's big event, as well as before and after.

The FaceID technology went a bit awry there. Software head Craig Federighi came on to talk about how easy it is – and it wouldn't recognise him.
Anyway, he's in now, and taking us around how the software works. It's fairly complicated, but looks very fluid. My sense is that this is the kind of thing that won't really make sense until you actually use the phone.
It's dependent on a lot of swipes. You can swipe from the top right to get to control centre, for instance. Or swipe from the bottom to bring up multitasking.
Craig Federighi is doing an impression of a chicken at his phone.
Tim Cook now doing an impression of an alien. "Take me to your leader... Wait a minute, Craig! I am your leader."
Another new product! A special charging pad – called "AirPower" – that you can put your phone, Watch and AirPods onto, and charge them all at the same time.
