Your support helps us to tell the story

My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona has shown me how crucial independent journalism is in giving voice to underrepresented communities.

Your support is what allows us to tell these stories, bringing attention to the issues that are often overlooked. Without your contributions, these voices might not be heard.

Every dollar you give helps us continue to shine a light on these critical issues in the run up to the election and beyond

Just over half an hour to go until we get underway. There’s a lot to be excited about, but personally I’m looking forward to a big cheerful “good morning!” from Tim Cook.

The pandemic means this event is not only a month late, but also entirely virtual.

Apple is one of many tech companies who have transitioned to remote working during the pandemic, recently announcing that most employees will continue to work from home until at least 2021.

This trend may have been sped up by a global health crisis, but it is one that the late Steve Jobs predicted during his 12-year hiatus from the company.

This is how Jobs envisioned the workplace of the future back in 1990.

As we start to link these computers together with sophisticated networks and great user interfaces, we’re starting to be able to create clusters of people working on a common task in literally 15 minutes worth of setup. And these 15 people can work together extremely efficiently no matter where they are geographically… This is going to be the third major revolution that these desktop computers provide.

One thing not mentioned in all those leaks, but is widely anticipated, is the arrival of the first 5G iPhone. It will likely only be on the larger, more expensive version of the iPhone 12, and whether it’s even worth splashing out for it is still up for debate.
