Jon Jones successfully defended his light heavyweight title against Dominick Reyes at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas at UFC 247 on Saturday.

30-year-old Reyes was undefeated coming into the bout and almost did enough to take the title from Jones, but ultimately came up short as the judges scored the bout 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46 in favour of the champion.

Jones, who sits at the top of the men’s pound-for-pound rankings in the UFC, was up against it in the early rounds but improved as the fight progressed, though many fans felt Reyes won the main event. Re-live all of the action below.

Prediction

Jones was not at his best last time out. But he should have too much for Reyes. We’re predicting Jones by UD.

Jones with multiple leg kicks. Reyes is bouncing around, but Jones is remaining calm.

Alex Pattle9 February 2020 05:36

Nice left straight to the body by Reyes. Jones already warned by Miragliotta for having his fingers extended.

Alex Pattle9 February 2020 05:37

Reyes DROPS Jones with a left hand!!

Alex Pattle9 February 2020 05:37

It didn't look like it did a lot of damage, but the timing was perfect.

Alex Pattle9 February 2020 05:38

Jones is getting tagged with that left hand repeatedly and it's visibly troubling him.

Alex Pattle9 February 2020 05:38

Reyes is going after Jones. The champion blocks two left high kicks and a spinning heel kick.

Alex Pattle9 February 2020 05:39

Can Reyes sustain this pace?

Alex Pattle9 February 2020 05:39

Jones just about lands a high kick.

Alex Pattle9 February 2020 05:40

Reyes with a strong first round. He couldn't have hoped for a better start. The left hand that floored Jones actually caught the champion around the chest, so - as mentioned - it was more about timing than damage.

Alex Pattle9 February 2020 05:41

Jones forced to retreat as Reyes chases him with left hands. This is fascinating.
