Jon Jones successfully defended his light heavyweight title against Dominick Reyes at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas at UFC 247 on Saturday.

30-year-old Reyes was undefeated coming into the bout and almost did enough to take the title from Jones, but ultimately came up short as the judges scored the bout 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46 in favour of the champion.

Jones, who sits at the top of the men’s pound-for-pound rankings in the UFC, was up against it in the early rounds but improved as the fight progressed, though many fans felt Reyes won the main event. Re-live all of the action below.

Prediction

Jones was not at his best last time out. But he should have too much for Reyes. We’re predicting Jones by UD.

Chookagian misses with a couple of spinning kicks.

Shevchenko just looks so relaxed in there, and OH, she lands a stunning spinning heel kick to the face of Chookagian!

Another takedown for Shevchenko. She's in complete control right now.

Two dominant rounds for a dominant champion.

Shevchenko again catches a kick and this time trips her opponent. She rains down elbows.

And that's it, easy. Easy for Shevchenko.

'The Bullet' had Chookagian stretched out in a crucifix position and there was no way the American could defend herself as Shevchenko fired off punch after punch. The referee rightly called it.

Shevchenko with her third successful title defence in a row, and what a performance. She is undoubtedly one of the best mixed martial artists on the planet.
