Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

FAME MMA hold their first card in the United Kingdom tonight, with a host of familiar faces involved in the action.

The UFC is far from the only organisation involved in the sport of mixed martial arts. In recent years a number of competitors have started putting on shows, with FAME MMA holding their first event in Poland last year.

Since then they have grown in size and their first UK card is headlined by a grudge match between Geordie Shore stars Sam Gowland and Marty McKenna.

The show was originally supposed to be headlined by a fight between reality stars Scotty T and Stevie Bear, only for the former to pull out just five days before the fight.

But don’t worry – Dapper Laughs is still involved. Here’s everything you need to know.

When is FAME MMA UK?

The card takes place today: Saturday 14 December.

What time is it?

The event will get underway at 8pm. Expect the main event to take place around 10.30-11pm.

Where is it?

FAME MMA UK takes place on December 14 2019.

How can I watch and stream the event?

The event will not be shown live on British television.

However, it is available to stream for £12.95 on FAME MMA’s website.

Who is on the card?

Some more decent leg kicks from Law. Henderson is trying to land the counter but has a couple big swings and misses. It's a tentative start, well until Law attempts a swinging backfist. He misses.

Henderson rocks Law backwards with a decent right hand down the pipe. Law is still padding forward but Henderson seems happier potshotting. And Henderson then lands a big right hand which again rocks Law!

Into the final minute.

Law rocks Henderson but then appears to slip, and Henderson is all over him! He is in a dominant position and has Law squashed against the cage, raining down some big shots. Law sees out the round - and the fight - but Henderson has surely done enough to win this one.

Henderson goes to shake hands. Law wants none of it.

Vithushan Ehantharajah14 December 2019 21:37

Henderson was genuinely impressive considering he took this fight on one weeks notice.

Decision time.

Henderson beats Law by majority decision.

Henderson: "I'm gassed. He put me through it and this was a test. But I came through it."

Law: "The support was amazing. They kept me going. But mad respect to Joe. He stepped up late and he deserved to win."
