From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

The men's singles semi-finals get underway on the 11th day of this year's Wimbledon Championships.

Defending champion Novak Djokovic kicks off proceedings on Centre Court where he takes on Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut.

The Serbian is expected to reach the sixth Wimbledon final of his career.

It's anyone's guess for the second semi-final of the day: Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer. The two men are meeting for the first time here at the All England Club since that iconic 2008 final, won by Nadal.

They both head into their clash in top form, having cruised their way through the Championships.

Nadal 6-7(3) 6-1 3-6 3-4 Federer* (40-15)

Federe remains calm and composed, as he serves his way towards the game.

Nadal had a look-in at 15-0 with a pass down the line, but he went crosscourt and Federer read him.

Federer holds, and is just a game away now from Sunday's final against Novak Djokovic!

Nadal will serve to stay in it...

Did Nadal just hit a flat, single-handed backhand?!

He wins the point with it though, as Federer nets at 30-15.

Couple of game points.

A simple Nadal miss at the net, and ANOTHER Federer winner, means it's deuce.

The Swiss is two points from victory...

Oh my. Federer strokes, as elegant as you like, a backhand down the line which Nadal doesn't even bother chasing!

Deuce again.
