Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

The men's singles semi-finals get underway on the 11th day of this year's Wimbledon Championships.

Defending champion Novak Djokovic kicks off proceedings on Centre Court where he takes on Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut.

The Serbian is expected to reach the sixth Wimbledon final of his career.

It's anyone's guess for the second semi-final of the day: Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer. The two men are meeting for the first time here at the All England Club since that iconic 2008 final, won by Nadal.

They both head into their clash in top form, having cruised their way through the Championships.

*Nadal 6-6 Federer (3-3)

Like before, Nadal can't consolidate the break, as he overhits a backhand lob.

Still all-square as they change ends.

Nadal 6-6 Federer* (4-3)

Vintage Federer! The Swiss pounces on a short Nadal backhand, and hits a forehand winner just inside the line!

Mini-break is now with Fed.

Nadal 6-7(3) 1-0 Federer* (30-40)

BREAK POINT NADAL!

Stunning point - Federer covering the net, but Rafa's athleticism wins him the point as he reaches to a backhand pass.
