Murray won his first match in the men's doubles alongside Pierre-Hugues Herbert as the pair prevailed 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-0. Murray will return to the court on Friday alongside Williams after the American recovered from losing the first set to Slovenian qualifier Kaja Juvan.
Elsewhere, Nadal's blockbuster clash with hothead Nick Kyrgios lived up to its billing with a fiery encounter both on court and afterwards. Johanna Konta beat Katerina Siniakova to reach the third round, while Roger Federer ended the hopes of British hopeful Jay Clarke in the day’s second match on No 1 Court.

A big 1st serve brings 40-30, and then Kyrgios hits an underarm serve (not a very good one it has to be said) which Rafa whips into the net on his forehand side!
It brings cheers, and some boos, from the Centre Court crowd... will Kyrgios care? Not. One. Bit.

Kyrgios nets a backhand as he struggles to move his feet properly, and we're back on serve on Centre.
Given the work Kyrgios put in to get the break, that was wasteful.
He's now talking to the chair umpire at the change of ends, presumably about the time Nadal is taking between points... it is a while...
Kyrgios gets a code violation warning for unsportsmanlike conduct before the next game starts.
Not sure what he said, but he was definitely angry with the umpire...
