Gauff 6-3 Rybarikova*
GAUFF WINS THE FIRST SET!
Two backhand winners to open the game, standard.
Two irretrievable serves follow, and she closes it out to love.
Set 1 done, in 29 minutes. Another day at the office.
*Gauff 6-3 0-1 Rybarikova
Big hold for Rybarikova, but still a struggle as she holds to 30.
Will the 15-year-old show any signs of her age?
Gauff 6-3 1-1 Rybarikova*
Another hold, no problem. Easy stuff for Gauff on her serve so far.
*Gauff 6-3 2-1 Rybarikova
GAUFF BREAKS!
A break to 15, and Rybarikova looks absolutely stumped! Gauff is completely in control here on No.1.
*Gauff 6-3 2-1 Rybarikova (40-40)
Little door is left ajar for Rybarikova at 30-30, but Gauff hits an ace on the line for game point.
Give credit to the Slovak though, who gets it to deuce with a forehand volley sliced beyond Gauff into the open court. Deuce.
Gauff 6-3 3-1 Rybarikova*
Gauff comes through it, backed up by her huge 1st serves. She yells out a big "Come on!" after securing that game.
Pumped, but focused.
Gauff 6-3 3-1 Rybarikova* (40-40)
First two points of the game, Gouff wins with two glorious backhand passes - one line, one crosscourt.
At 15-30, Rybarikova hits a desperate drop shot into the net, and it brings up TWO BREAK POINTS...
Rybarikova saves the first at the net, and manages to save the second with a big 1st serve.
*Gauff 6-3 3-2 Rybarikova
Huge hold from the Slovak! A volley and an ace, and she keeps on Gauff's tail...
