That’s the ninth penalty against Wales, so they can’t have too many complaints, though captain Siwan Lillicrap does make the point to Neville that she feels Scotland are preventing her players rolling away.

Keira Bevan gives her teammates a scare as she fumbles in attempting to set up a boxed clearance, having to swiftly dart away from the Scottish fringe defence before late completing the job.

Scotland would love another score to reflect how on top they have been in this game. Wales will back their bench to have a similar impact to a week ago if things remain close.

Kerin Lake clears after a stable enough Welsh scrum. Slightly sliced, and Scotland’s lineout will be five metres or so outside the Welsh 22.

A horrible bounce of the ball and Rhona Lloyd cannot believe her luck! It’s a shot to nothing, so Jenny Maxwell tries something completely different, lifting a box kick into the Welsh in-goal.

There appears to be little danger as it comes down to earth, with both Jasmine Joyce and Kayleigh Powell covering back and the ball flying rather close to the dead-ball line. But it pitches like a perfectly judged lob wedge, hopping over the Welsh pair’s heads, with Lloyd collecting and grounding after the assist from the artificial turf and the egg-shaped ball.
